Heat Pump Repair and Installation for Dacula, Lawrenceville, GA & the Greater Atlanta Area

Trane Heat Pump

An air conditioner and heat pump look identical, and both have the capability of cooling your home during a hot summer season here in Bishop, Watkinsville, Covington, Lawrenceville, Loganville, Buford, Snellville, Atlanta, GA, and the surrounding areas. The primary difference is that a heat pump can also heat your home during the Winter.

During the summer months, a heat pump functions just like an air conditioner. When thermostat registers indoor air is too warm, the heat pump turns on and begins compressing refrigerant which in turn chills it. The chilled refrigerant is then sent inside to the indoor coil. The fan motor in the coil turns on and pulls air from the home. The warm indoor air is forced through the chilled coil, which not only cools the air, but dehumidifies it as water condensates on the copper tubing.

When an Atlanta winter hits, a heat pump reverses the cooling process, and heat refrigerant instead of cooling it. A heat pump extracts heat energy from the outside air (even though the air is cold) and uses this to heat the refrigerant before sending it inside to the indoor coil.

Heat pump efficiency is measured with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) for cooling, and a heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) rating for heating. Zack Hammonds offers reliable, efficient Trane heat pump options for amazing comfort and low utility bills! Efficiency Ratings Explained.

Superior heating & Cooling with Trane® Heat Pumps

When matched with a variable speed indoor unit from Trane, the XL19i has another special feature. It's a method of enhancing airflow that we call Comfort-R™ and it gives you greater humidity control in cooling. This is accomplished by running the fan at a slower speed during start-up. Comfort-R™ also provides warmer air during heating start-up. These managed cycles reduce temperature variances for the optimum in home comfort.

Trane ComfortLink II Communicating Capability

Trane ComfortLink II communicating technology (available when matched with communicating indoor units) connects all of your key components so your system automatically charges, configures and calibrates for optimal performance and efficiency through the lifetime of your products. When the optional Telephone Access Module (TAM) is added, you can conveniently adjust settings and receive system updates wherever you are by phone.
